Who is trying to contact any of his classmates that are still about.
Bob says "There were two classes in the mess (187 & 188 seems to ring a bell with me although I could be totally wrong). There were 21 in each class. The Instructors were PO. Griffiths and PO. Cannon. The latter might have been spelt with only one "n"."
