Last passing out parade ever June 1976
Hi shipmates,l was a member of the very last recruitment to have a passing out parade at Ganges,June 1976 when all past Ganges Boys were present.l was in the Admirals guard that day,we marched off and round the parade ground to take the salute, and when we did a left turn into line the applause we got made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up,and l will never forget it.
l was in 3 mess,Fearless Division at the top of the long covered way, next to the quarter deck where you had to double to the messroom for dinner.l am trying to trace any of my classmates, and especially a photograph of the class, which l have sadly lost and l would be most appreciated if you could help me out please,lt really means a lot to me to find this photograph and classmates.l would also like to trace my class lnstructor PO GI(M) MASON (perry) as he was nicknamed and also PO GI (M) ASHTON from 4 mess, who l later served with on HMS ESKIMO based in Chatham.lf anybody has any memorabilia of the last recruitment and of that day, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me,it really means a lot to me to find this photo and my class mates.
Kind Regards
Peter Fullarton

Recruitment 4 1957
Roly downunder. I was in th 7th May 1957 recruitment. You didn't mention what Mess you were in in the Annexe, I was in Beatty one of which I have a foti of if that is of any use. I went into Blake 6 from there so can't help you with the Collingrad bit. If you would like a copy of the foti the only way I can think of getting it to you is to scan it and E-mail it to you. (Its coming up to our 52yr anniversary!) Regards Buck Taylor

I'll agree with the above comments, I have lots of Class photo's not only of my own Divisions of Benbow and Duncan but also of Blake all 1960. With the new website up and running, I was hoping this facility might be afforded to members. I seem to think we all like looking back to how young an Skin we all were in those early days and remembering our mates that mostly we will never see again.

Pete, I agree with your comments regarding (hopefully) having more photo's on the site.
The old site had Sport and People photo's , (in addition to Classes and place).
I am sure Phil is aware of it. He's doing a great job so far.
Of course the photo's are an integral link to our life at Ganges, so the more the merrier we hope.

It is a pity that you will not entertain any more photo's except from decades not shown.
I would have thought it would be in everyones interest to show as many photo,s as possible.
If you are worried about the size of the site, perhaps you could have a menu for each decade
and open up thumnails for each decade on a new page.
