David Jacobs was a class leader and was drafted to Radio S.E.A.C. in Ceylon just before photo was taken.
Our Divisional Officer was Lt.Com.Harte RNR (in photo), Sub.Lt Downing was Sub Divisional Officer (not shown) but is in another class 20 Rodney 1944 photo on your website. I can't remember the name of the L/S instructor sitting on the left of Lt.Com. Harte. We also had an excellent old sea dog namely C.P.O. Cartwright who topped and tailed any of us who got out of line, he was a firm and fair man who was proud of his class, in fact he shed a tear when he had to leave the RN just before we completed our course. Top row facing is a G H Fry from London who I met up with later when he became an RN Education Officer.
For my sins I am third row from top far left.
